Welcome to The Connected Republic website
theconnectedrepublic.org is a community space, developed by Cisco's Internet Business Solutions Group. The aim is to create a space where people with ideas can meet, share their thinking and link up with each other. The site is open to anyone who wants to get involved. We want this to be a user-led, user-dominated space, so do please contribute. There are many ways you can do so:
On the Forums page you can start a new discussion or reply to any previous posts;
On the Blog page you can comment on entries from our team of bloggers;
On the Bookmarks page you can add your favourite websites to the community's list of tagged sites at del.cio.us.
To say in touch with the site you can sign up for our monthly email update or subscribe to one of our RSS feeds. Full details on the Updates page
What's New - February 2008
Lots of changes. We now have a contributors page where this month you can see a profile of Lynda Kelly, who has been a great contributor since she joined last October. We have added RSS feeds for the forums, so you can either be alerted to all new posts or to new posts in particular areas. We will also be doing a monthly email update to flag up what has been happening on the site - you can subscribe at the new updates page. And we have a wiki facility. This is a bit of an experiment and it is up to you how you want to use this facility. We will trial a few projects, but feel free to test other ideas. We have also created a Connected Republic group on Facebook. Finally, don't forget David Weinberger's great presentation on Web 2.0. It's in on the videos page in four 10-minute chunks.
